Making music to the glory of God is an integral part of the life of the Colts Neck Reformed Church.  We have over 100 people of all ages participating in many varied ways in both music and worship arts!  Please contact Maggie Tripold, our Director of Music and Worship Arts, if you have questions about any aspect of the program.

Youth Choirs

We have three choirs to meet the needs of children and youth from age 4 through 12th grade! These choirs rehearse on Sundays from 11:00 – 11:45 a.m.

• Cherub Choir
  • Ages 4 – 6 (1st grade)
  • Directed by Jeanne Sokol, Carol Barnett, Allison Walte, and Michele Cox
  • Rehearsals are held in Room 5 of the Education Building. Cherubs begin rehearsals in late September and continue through Palm Sunday. Cherubs sing during worship four times during the year.
• Alleluia Angels
  • Grades 2 thru 6
  • Directed by Matthew Goetke, Tamar Goetke and Sherre MacClellan
  • Rehearsals are held in Fellowship Hall, located upstairs in the Education Building. Alleluia Angels begin rehearsals in mid-September and continue through early May. Alleluia Angels sing during worship about six times during the year.
• Jubilation!
  • Grades 7 thru 12
  • Directed by Maggie Tripold and Jeff Brown
    
  • Rehearsals are held in the Choir Room, upstairs in the Sanctuary building.  Jubilation! begins rehearsals in mid-September and continues through mid to late May. Jubilation! sings about eight times during the year and presents a musical once a year or every other year.

Adult Choirs

Our adult choirs are wonderful music-making opportunities for adults who love to sing.

• Senior Choir
  • Directed by Dave Tripold
  • Rehearsals are held each Wednesday evening from 8:00 – 9:30 p.m. in the Choir Room beginning the Wednesday after Labor Day and running through early June.
  • Senior Choir provides music for the majority of Sundays during the year and presents a cantata each year.

• Women's Outreach Choir
•  A group of women from Colts Neck Reformed Church who love to sing are sharing their time to make a difference in the lives of older adults through singing and making music together. We are traveling to the Reformed Church Home in Old Bridge and Brandywine Reflections in Colts Neck once a month on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Contact Maggie Tripold  for more information.

Handbell Choirs

We have five hand bell choirs here at CNRC beginning with 3rd graders through adults.

• Echo Ringers
  • Grades 3 and older
  • Directed by Kelly Tyma
  • Rehearsals are held each Monday from 4:30 – 5:15 p.m. in the sanctuary from mid-September through early May.
• Joyful Ringers
  • Grades 6 and older
  • Directed by Tamar Goetke
  • Rehearsals are held each Monday from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary from mid-September through early May.
• Celebration Ringers
  • High School
  • Directed by Kay Brown
  • Rehearsals are held each Wednesday from 5:30 – 6:45 p.m. in the sanctuary from mid-September through mid-May
• Exultation Ringers
  • Adults
  • Directed by Maggie Tripold
  • Rehearsals are held each Wednesday from 6:45 – 7:45 p.m. in the sanctuary from mid-September through May.
• Morning Bells
  • Adults
  • Directed by Maggie Tripold
  • Rehearsals are held on Monday mornings from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary. Schedule varies depending on members' schedules.

Instrumental Opportunities

Our jazz band, Alleluia Jazz, always welcomes new instrumentalists, high school age and older!  We rehearse the 3rd Tuesday of each month (September through June) at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.  We also have a brass ensemble that plays for Christmas Eve and Easter worship services.  Contact Maggie Tripold for more information.

Our Youth Praise Band for instrumentalists in grades five through eight plays in June for our Church School Celebration. Rehearsals are held in May and early June.

Drama
