YOUTH PROGRAMS

Every Christian community seeks to share in times of fellowship, times to grow in faith, and times to carry out God's mission in the world. Our Youth Program is no different. We have events throughout the year to experience and grow in God's grace. Scroll down to read more about the offerings here at Colts Neck Reformed Church and follow us on Facebook! Reach out to Paul and Debbie Horan, our Directors of Youth Ministries, for more information on our youth program.

Our Senior High and Junior High youth enjoy fellowship and mission programming throughout the year. Here are some examples of events we love.

Super Bowl Sub Sale - each year on Super Bowl Sunday, the senior high youth take orders from the church family for sub sandwiches. We gather that weekend to prepare the food and the sandwiches are picked up during the morning coffee hour and after the 11:00 a.m. worship. All monies raised support the benevolence programs of the church.

"Souper Bowl of Caring" - following each worship service on Super Bowl Sunday, members of the youth group collect one dollar or a can of soup from the church family - all of which is donated to Open Door, the local soup kitchen in Freehold. On one of the biggest 'eating' days of the year, we remember those who go without food on a daily basis.

Youth Sunday - each year a Sunday is designated as "Youth Sunday" and the senior high youth gather to plan and implement a worship service.

Mission Trips - are planned as often as possible, sometimes local such as helping with Hurricane Sandy clean up on a school holiday or during the summer months, or traveling to Los Angeles to serve with "The Compton Mission Project" in Paramount, CA .

30-Hour Famine - we gather to be educated and informed about issues of hunger that face not only our local community, but also the entire world. During this time of 'fasting' we play games, volunteer in local soup kitchens, and raise money and awareness for hunger.

Fellowship Events such as Ice Skating or Sledding in the winter and canoeing and rafting in the summer months are scheduled throughout the year.
