YOUTH PROGRAMS

Colts Neck Reformed Church is committed to the wholehearted formation of every person who is present in our community, not the least of which are our youth! We offer a wide range of youth programming. This includes Church School for those in pre-school through seventh grade, confirmation classes, and youth group. These programs are meant to provide community, education, fun & play, and service opportunities. The regular programming runs from mid-September to mid-May. Summer activities happen throughout the months of June through August. Please reach out to Rev. Gene Ryan, Family Life Pastor, for more information!

Our youth enjoy fellowship and mission programming throughout the year. Here are examples of some of our favorite events.

Rally Day Sub Sale - As the entire church family kicks off the program year in early September, the youth make sub sandwiches to sell at the church "Rally Day." We meet in Fellowship hall and make a few hundred subs for the folks who gather to begin the year! The proceeds of this event go directly to the youth budget!

Youth Sunday - In the spring the youth group prepares a worship service that highlights the gifts and voices of the youth! Senior youth give a senior sermon, and other youth participate in liturgy and worship leadership.

Summer Camp - During the summer months, when we take a break from regular youth group and programming, we offer opportunities to go to summer camps! We partner with Camp Fowler in the Adirondack State Park of Upstate New York, as well as camps like Camp Mahetu in New Jersey. There is a tuition cost to these weeks, but the church provides financial scholarship and assistance as needed.
