Rev. Scott D. Brown
Senior Minister
Grace, mercy and peace to you! I am deeply grateful to serve God with the congregation of the Colts Neck Reformed Church. I have been Senior Pastor since 1999 and have lead responsibilities in the areas of preaching, vision casting, pastoral care, and administration. I also share in teaching Bible studies and utilizing my spiritual gifts of encouragement, faith and leadership. I reside in Colts Neck with my wife, Kay, and we have three adult children. For fun I like to play piano, listen to a variety of music, read, travel and root for the Mets!
I graduated from the State University of NY, Albany, in 1981 and New Brunswick Theological Seminary in 1985. Prior to being senior Minister, I served as Associate Pastor here at Colts Neck Reformed Church from 1985-1994 and as solo pastor at the Three Bridges (NJ) Reformed Church from 1994-1999. I have served the wider church as president of the Classis of New Brunswick, the local assembly of 28 Reformed Churches, and as president of the Regional Synod of Mid-Atlantics, the 150 Reformed Churches in New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania.

Rev. Gene Ryan
Family Life Minister
Hello Church Family! It is truly an honor to be here with you, in Colts Neck. I have served this church as the Family Life Minister since August of 2021. A few of my focus areas of ministry are youth group & programs, Sunday school, confirmation, young adult ministries, and worship leadership. I work closely with Scott, and the rest of the CNRC team, to minister faithfully to the community through gatherings & events, Bible studies, retreats, and pastoral care. I truly love to hear your stories and faith journeys, as well as preach, play games, and listen to the stories in Scripture. Outside of church, I live in Colts Neck with my wife, Marcy (who is also a minister). We love to take in movies, read good books, watch some sports, and enjoy some new experiences as they come up. And we always love to host people at our home!
I grew up in Fort Plain, NY (an hour west of Albany). After high school I went to Hope College in Holland, MI. Upon graduation I attended Western Theological Seminary in the same town. I was ordained by the Classis of Holland (MI) at Hope Church (RCA). Colts Neck Reformed Church is my first call, and for that I am so grateful. I look forward to getting to know you!

The Consistory
At the Colts Neck Reformed Church Elders and Deacons, along with the Minister(s) of Word and Sacrament, comprise the Consistory.
