Friday, October 25
Friday, October 25, 9:00am-3:00pm: Join us to help build a home with Habitat for Humanity at their newest two-story home build project in Wall. We'll be constructing a house for Habitat's newest partner family—Erica, Joe, Evangeline (11 years) and Dorian (3 years). The family is currently renting substandard housing which they fear is negatively affecting Dorian's health. Dorian requires adaptive equipment for which they lack adequate space. They also require fully functioning heat and air conditioning which are lacking in their current rental. Erica states that she and Joe dream of owning a home of their own for their children—a home where they cannot just exist, but thrive and have the very best lives possible. All tools will be provided. Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring a lunch. Open to ages 16 and up.
