SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP

Worship is the food of Christian life. Each week the church family gathers to praise God through word and song. Our worship experience is rooted in the rich tradition of liturgy and preaching in the Reformed Church. Throughout the year, however, the congregation is exposed to innovative and contemporary forms of praise.

On Sunday mornings we offer a Gospel for Children during the worship service and then the children aged three through 7th grade are dismissed to their Sunday School classes. A Church Nursery is available and professionally staffed during the worship service. A Family Room, where the service is live-streamed, is a place where parents can bring their infants and toddlers. After the 9:30 service, we gather for a time of Coffee and Fellowship and then at 11:00 a.m. we invite you to join us for our Discovery Hour offerings.

The Colts Neck Reformed Church celebrates the Sacraments of Baptism and Communion and offers Special Services throughout the year.

During the summer months (from mid-June through Labor Day) we offer a children's activity for our younger disciples from age three through 3rd grade in lieu of Sunday School, and there are no Learning Hour offerings.

SACRAMENTS

The Reformed Church in America celebrates two Sacraments - Holy Baptism and Communion. The Sacraments give people a unique kind of nourishment as we affirm God's unlimited grace. Baptism may be arranged by request. The Lord's Supper is celebrated during both the 9:30 a.m. service and the 11:00 a.m. service, typically on the first Sunday of the month as well as on Ash Wednesday and Maundy Thursday.

"O come let us sing to the Lord;

let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!

Let us come into His presence with thanksgiving;

let us make a joyful noise to Him with songs of praise!"
